The concrete from One Crosstown, Crosstown III, and Crest’s collective demolition work at the old IBM building was crushed on-site and reused in site operations, roadways, and underslab granular to minimize waste and trucking emissions.
The existing IBM building on the site was over 223,000 square feet in size, and the façade retention is one of the largest and longest in the city’s history. This retention will save many thousands of square feet of new material from being used or trucked in concrete forming company that is currently building the project’s structure.
